The Cat Linh – Ha Dong urban railway is an elevated light railway (viaduct). With a length of 13.05km, this route provides public passenger transport services.

This urban railway line starts from the Cat Linh – Giang Vo intersection, which is the future urban passenger transit area of Hanoi, connecting the Cat Linh – Ha Dong urban railway with the Nhon – Hanoi railway and the BRT bus rapid transit line.

There are 12 stations of the project, including: Cat Linh station, De La Thanh station, Thai Ha station, Duong Lang station, Nga Tu So station, Vietnam National University station, Vanh Dai 3 station, Thanh Xuan station, Ha Dong car-park station , La Khe station, Van Khe station and Ha Dong station.
