Formosa is the investor of the iron – steel complex and Son Duong deep-water port project with a total investment capital of nearly 10 billion USD (capacity of more than 10 million tons/year in the first phase) and is planning to increase capital to 27 billion USD (20 million tons/year in the second phase).

The total project implementation area is more than 3.300 hectares, more than 2.025 hectares of land area and more than 1.293 hectares of water area (Son Duong port). The lease period is 70 years, and the rent is more than 96 billion VND for the entire lease period.

FHS registered 11 business lines, including some important lines, which are: iron and steel manufacturing and trading; port business; cement production; thermal power station and water treatment plants business; constructing, installing, operating and trading gas plants, selling compressed gases and liquid gases used in industry, such as: oxygen, nitrogen, etc; manufacturing, processing, trading, importing and exporting products related to coke, tar, light crude oil, and real estate business
