The Lang – Hoa Lac Expressway, also known as the Thang Long Boulevard, runs primarily in an east-west direction and is 29 km. Tha0ng Long Boulevard starts from the intersection of Pham Hung Street, passing through the districts of Tu Liem, Hoai Duc, Quoc Oai, and Thach That (Ha Noi), and ends at the intersection with National Highway 21 – Ho Chi Minh Road.
The boulevard was commenced on March 20, 2005, and inaugurated on October 3, 2010, on the occasion of the 1000th anniversary of Thang Long-Ha Noi. It is not only the longest boulevard but also the first highway-standard road in Vietnam to be put into use, connecting industrial zones and urban areas with the city center.
Thang Long Boulevard is part of the Lang-Hoa Lac road project, with a total investment of VND 7,527 billion. This modern expressway has a total length of 29.264 km and a cross-sectional width of 140 meters, including 2 expressway sections with 6 separate lanes, 2 service roads, 2 expressways, 2 tunnels, and 12 overpasses. The space on both sides of the road features green buffer zones with a minimum width of 200 meters each.
