Nhat Tan Bridge

The construction project of Nhat Tan bridge and the road passing through Tay Ho district and Dong Anh district (Hanoi city) at both ends of its has a total investment of more than 13.600 billion VND.

The total length of the project is 8.933m. Specificially, Nhat Tan bridge is 3.755m long, and its cross section is 33.2m long, which are compliance to the bridge’s permanent design scale.

The main bridge is a continuous cable-stayed bridge with 5 towers with a total length of 1.500m (main spans are 300m long). The road at both ends of the bridge has a total length of 5.178,8m. There will be 4 intersections, including 3 intersections at different levels, on the entire route.

According to the approved design, the Nhat Tan bridge project belongs to Vanh Dai 2 road of Hanoi, starting in the Phu Thuong, Tay Ho district, then running parallel and about 420m from Lac Long Quan street. After crossing the Red River by Nhat Tan bridge (which is about 3.6km downstream of Thang Long bridge). The project cuts the extended V highway at the Vinh Ngoc intersection and then goes straight north, crosses the Thiep River and ends at intersection with Nam Hong street.

After the construction project of Nhat Tan Bridge and the roads at both ends of the bridge is completed, it will connect the city center with northern provinces and industrial zones, such as: North Thang Long – Van Tri, Dong Anh – Co Loa, Gia Lam – Yen Vien. Besides, it also completes Vanh Dai 2 road and shorts the route from the center to Noi Bai International Airport. After being completed, this will be the longest cable-stayed bridge in Vietnam, a “highlight” of architecture in Hanoi Capital.
