With a figure of 7.09%, 2024 witnessed impressive growth of the Vietnamese economy despite the general difficult situation globally due to the crisis. In particular, the most notable is the industrial production sector with a growth of 8.4% – the largest figure since 2020. This is a factor that has a significant impact on the development of the steel industry in general.

The steel market in Vietnam in 2024 has shown signs of recovery and positive growth. Specifically, crude steel production in 2024 increased by about 14% over the same period last year, reaching nearly 22 million tons. Not stopping there, finished steel output also reached more than 29.4 million tons in 2024, an increase of about 6.1% compared to 2023. The amount of steel sold also increased significantly, exceeding 11% over the previous year, reaching more than 29.3 million tons.
